Rachel left Sasha’s apartment feeling- she didn’t know what she was feeling. Her thoughts were now focused on Axel and she needed to get home soon. She knew how he’d been feeling lately and she feared it would only keep getting worse. Rachel made her way back home in a haste. Angry with herself for not being home more. Hitting the brakes carelessly as she arrived home she slammed the door shut behind her and hurried inside. “Axel?” Rachel called out when she heard him calling. “Axel!” She screamed when she found him. Rachel was full of anguish when her eyes set on her son. “Oh god,” she said to herself as she rushed to help him up. “I got you,” she whispered softly. Rachel was quite small and not as strong as she wished but she managed to unsteadily walk Axel out and into the car. “I’ll be right back, okay?” She kissed his forehead and walked inside to get some towels. Her hands were shaking and she tried taking breaths to calm down. Nothing was helping right now.
Axel didn’t know why he didn’t tell anybody about his sickness, he just guessed nobody cared and the people he knew who cared he didn’t want to bother their already busy lives with his problems. He didn’t want to be a bother to anybody really so he kept it to himself but now that he was progressively getting worse he had to tell his mom. He stayed on the floor, staring at his hand. He felt a trickle of blood slide down his skin at the edge of his mouth. He looked up at his grieving mom, the face she was looking at Axel with was exactly the face he wanted to ignore. He hobbled to the car in his dizzy state. When in the car, Axel coughed up more blood. His head hurting and him loosing feelings in his legs. He shivered.
Matthew blushed slightly and rolled his eyes. “I’m not amazing at all..” he said, laughing slightly, then frowned. “You sure you don’t want to go to a hospital or something?” He asked. “I hate seeing you all sick..”
Axel stayed quiet, he sniffled. Whenever he had a dizzy spell he couldn’t he anything nor do anything just wait it out, he lazily slid his head up to look at Matthew and saw his mouth moving. Guessing what he was saying “I’m f-fine…just dizzy..Hold me..” He cuddled closer to his boyfriend.
Axel clutched his sides as he sat in a ball on his bed, his forehead was sweating but his body was cold as ice. He bit at his nails, the color of them being blur and his finger tips cold to his capped lips. He sniffled and wiped his nose, he looked at his sleeve and saw blood. He sighed it was his fourth one this hour, he shakily grabbed a tissue and held his nose. He sighed and leaned back, he really neede to go to the doctor. If not for him, for Matthew. He couldn’t sit here and practically die when his love was getting hurt. He got up but too fast because he started to get an ache in his chest, he gripped his shirt and started coughing. Holding on to the door frame for support. He looked at his hand, his eyes went wide. He saw bright red blood on it, he started to shake and slide down the door frame “Mommmm!”
“I’m… Okay.” Matthew said after a minute long pause. “School sucks though..” he added, sighing. He rubbed his hand up and down Axel’s arm. “People are really mean to me.” Matthew said quietly. “But not everyone, just the jocks.” He frowned. “But don’t worry about me, okay? We just have to worry about how we’re gonna get you to feel better.”
Axel remembered how mean the jocks were to him when he use to go to school, he remembered how horrible it gotten to the point where Axel was scared to even wake up alive on week days. He tried to sit up but his muscles were too weak, he fought through it and sat up next to Matthew “Don’t let them get to you..” His voice was weak and husky but it had a stern tone to it. “I don’t want you going through what i went through..” He touched his cold hand to Matthew’s warm cheek. “Your too amazing to be bullied..” He sniffled and layed back down on Matthew as a dizzy spell came over him.
